Orlando, FL 1975 Eric Summers Founded the Senior Job Bank as a free non-profit job referral service. We were the first FREE national jobs database for senior citizens. Summers dedicated over 30 years helping senior citizens.

In 2005 Government Intervened. They said using the word 'Bank' in our title was misleading and insisted we register as an employment agency. That meant charging fees. Summers refused, sold the site and started Help Senior Citizens, A Non-Profit Referral Service, Inc. to continue helping seniors.

In 1999 SJB Entered Cyberspace. Our web site was ultimately recognized by all of government with links to us from their sites. Our Free Public Service was Embraced by Government, Business and 'the People'.
In 1980 We Made National News by Refusing Federal Grants. Summers refused because many organizations who get grants actually spend more of their time trying to get the grants renewed than they dedicate to the reason why they got the grant in the first place.
